In 2020, the Covid-19 situation served to hasten and broaden the global digitalisation of lives and livelihood. Those who are less able to keep up with it ended in disruption or even dissolution.
As machines, devices and systems get smarter, what about us humans and the population at large? The answer is Skills 4.0 comprising upskilling and reskilling. Staff either need new skills to help them in current roles, or new capabilities to take on different or entirely new roles. Besides the obvious digitalisation skills, every individual also needs soft skills like problem-solving, creativity, people management and emotional intelligence, just to name a few.
